One of the highest rated locations in Berkley, California, is Augie’s Montreal Deli. This locations serves amazing sandwiches and a delicious treat known as Poutine. Some of you may be wondering…What is poutine? I just learned recently and I am hooked. Poutine is a dish that includes french fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy. It originated in the Canadian province of Quebec and emerged in the late 1950s. Poutine has been growing in popularity in the United States, and I am loving it.
This location is by far the best place I have been to that serves poutine. Not only are their other options so delicious, but this is an added bonus. My favorite meal here would be the smoked meat sandwich with a side of the classic poutine, and don’t forget the special black cherry soda. Yum! Check out their menu online.
